Greenhills Inn

Built in 1906, the Federation-style Greenhills Inn was one of three watering holes for the 3000 people who lived in the town.

Patronage was predominately railway workers when Greenhills was the last stop for the grain trains.

But when the grain rail line was extended to Quairading, the town quickly emptied and, over time, the inn deteriorated.

Until 1995 the pub was in a run-down condition, de-licensed and run as a church camp, with youth hostel-style accommodation.

In December 1995 it was sold to new owners, who embarked on a major refurbishment and rebuilding program to return the pub to its original condition.

Sold again in 2012 to Rachael, Gail and Bill Hart they invite you to experience the charm and splendour of their 'home' set amongst the Ghost Gums of Greenhills. Whether it be bed and breakfast, a romantic dinner in your own private dining room, family reunion in the main dining room and fully licensed bar.

An outdoor function area is also available for large functions and receptions (weddings, Melbourne Cup luncheon, etc.) Memorabilia surrounds you at Greenhills Inn. The exquisite antique furnishings throughout the entire hotel add to the magic of this majestic old building. Every bedroom has a unique personality. Each room a different colour. Each one a collection of paintings and mementos and each one a museum.

Located 119 kilometres from Perth and only a stones throw from the township of York, it has all the charm of yesteryear. Greenhills Inn loses you within the tranquillity of the Australian bush.

Stroll through the hallways of this magnificent hotel, admire the antiques and wonder at the stories they hold.
